Black Australorp

Originally developed in Australia from the Orpington, the Australorp quickly earned worldwide recognition for its productivity—holding records for some of the highest egg counts ever documented.
Australorp hens typically lay 250–300 large brown eggs per year, making them one of the most reliable layers for backyard keepers and homesteaders.
